About The Position

The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for handling the finished product, including inspecting, measuring, and preparing it for shipment. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must have computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • Corrugated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prep units with dunnage according to customer specifications to prevent damage during banding.
  • Read the dry end schedule.
  • Ensure all products meet acceptable quality standards with a goal of 100% perfection.
  • Check, monitor, and enforce all quality standards, including proper unitization and tagging procedures.
  • Operate all sheet line controls.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the machine and work areas.
  • Inspect the sheet line area for cleanliness and proper stocking at the start of the shift and report findings.
  • Ensure areas are clean and properly supplied at shift changeover.
  • Keep the dunnage area clean, neat, and stocked.
  • Respond to the bander when issues arise.
  • Ensure quality checks are performed properly throughout the shift.
  • Work with Shipping to correct rework area issues in a timely manner and ensure no rework issues carry over to the next shift.
  • Follow all safety and company policies and procedures, including maintaining good housekeeping, reporting issues, accidents, or incidents immediately, and completing monthly online safety training.
  • Inform the Control Room Operator of Overrun, Underrun, or scrapped sheets/units.
  • Ensure the line is clear for startup after a Dry End issue has been corrected.
  • Provide On the Job Training for new employees as needed.
  • Work as a team, assisting other operators when issues arise.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, which must be exemplary.
  • Work flexible hours and/or extended hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
