About The Position
HI-LEX, founded in 1946, is a leading supplier of window regulators, door modules, power lift gate systems, and mechanical control cables. As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for assisting in the assembly of door modules and/or window regulators. You will be assigned a specific station on the assembly line, where you will perform your designated process within a set timeframe for each part that moves through your station. After completing your task, the part will proceed to the next station, and you will then await the next part to repeat the process.
Requirements
- Use hand tools, staple gun, hand pallet jack, wrapping machine, scale, computer and printer.
Responsibilities
- Perform work in a safe manner, following all safety rules.
- Attach components in the prescribed order to assemble the product.
- Align, fit, and secure components using hand operations and fastening techniques for bench work.
- Ensure component parts and finished assemblies meet all quality checks required by the stations.
- Verify that the component parts used are correct for the part being assembled.
- Assist other operators on the line.
- Perform the work of all stations on a rotating basis as required by the company.
- Move parts from containers on the floor or other locations to containers in the work area.
- Sort and rework components on the assembly line or other locations to meet quality requirements.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- Use hand tools, such as a staple gun, hand pallet jack, wrapping machine, scale, computer, and printer, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
