About The Position

We currently have an excellent opportunity in our manufacturing division’s production shop. The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for operating and monitoring a variety of machine tools. The job requires attention to detail and the desire to assure safety and quality at the work center. The successful candidate will be able to work both individually and as part of a group. As a member of this dynamic team, the successful candidate will also participate in group problem solving and the development of Lean solutions.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience of using hand tools, manual tasks, and mechanical aptitude.
Able to work as part of a team
Attention to detail and methodical (organized) approach
Strong desire for quality workmanship in a production environment
A solid work ethic
Effective English communication skills
Good attendance and reliability

Responsibilities

Perform repetitive manual tasks
Testing with simple equipment (e.g. go/no go gauges, calipers, etc.)
Operation of various machine shop equipment (including grinders, manual machine tools or hand tools, measuring instruments) or other manual operations
Verifies part conformity using precise measuring equipment and part drawings
Works to continually improve processes
Able to do some basic set ups of a less complex nature.
May be able to operate CNC machines.
Maintaining a clean and orderly work area
