About The Position

PowerTec Distribution & Motor Control Corporation is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Technician in Arizona. The role supports the Electrical department by crafting, assembling, and repairing electrical enclosures, assemblies, and sub-assemblies used in power distribution systems. The position includes working with busbar and electrical components, sheet metal, and mechanical systems, as well as verifying that mechanisms operate correctly and safely. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

Proven work experience in assembly or a similar role.
Good eye-hand coordination for constructing small parts.
Ability to work with mechanical systems, tools, and machinery.
Ability to comprehend and follow directions.
Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA.
High school diploma.
One year of experience working on cars, motorcycles, or other mechanically based equipment.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including over 100 degrees and under 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to traverse uneven terrain and warm and cold surfaces.
Ability to squat, kneel, and lie prone for extended periods.
Ability to travel for up to five days a week.
Ability and comfort working in confined spaces.
Ability to wear a respirator according to OSHA standards.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in automotive or robotics.

Responsibilities

Provide general support to the Assembly department.
Work with busbar and electrical components used for electrical power distribution systems.
Assemble and join sheet metal components using fasteners or rivets.
Torque electrical power system connections according to design specifications.
Square up enclosures to ensure proper installation and sealing.
Verify mechanical operation and safety to ensure mechanisms operate correctly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
