DCI is looking for Manufacturing Assembly Technicians to join our team at headquarters in Kent, WA. In these roles, you will use your assembly experience and knowledge of electronic devices to help build complex electromechanical products in a high-mix manufacturing environment while upholding the high standards our global customers expect. Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent additional experience in a technical field
  • Three years of proven experience in the electronics and/or electro/mechanical fields
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Effective written/ oral communication
  • Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis
  • Hands-on aptitude, self-directed and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience preferred
  • Equipment maintenance experience preferred
  • PCB programming experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Consistently perform assembly and initial testing of new products and/or sub-assemblies as quickly as possible while maintaining exemplary quality standards
  • Assemble and test per established methods, schematics, and procedures
  • Effectively communicate product and departmental issues between assembly personnel, department leads, manufacturing management and other interested parties
  • Communicate with other technicians regarding methods and best practices
  • Communicate with production planning personnel regarding work in process, answer questions and explain problems, solutions and expected completion times
  • Proactively communicate with other individuals and departments on assembly related issues
  • Work with all tools necessary for any potential job and possess a high level of expertise on various electronic and mechanical systems
  • Be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks with limited supervision and oversight
  • Assemble electronic and electro/mechanical equipment, including soldering experience and programming electronic devices
  • Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical principles
  • Proficiently use a personal computer to perform job tasks, including Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
  • Inform appropriate management and technicians of potential product problems and suggests corrective actions
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment
  • Report product and process improvement suggestions to manufacturing engineering
  • Ensure yourself and everyone that works in or visits the Assembly Shop follows appropriate personal safety and ESD prevention protocols
  • Work independently as well as with a team
  • Possess a high sense of integrity and confidentiality, will be required to maintain confidential product and trade secrets information
