Steel manufacturing, aiming to reduce construction costs and streamline coordination for General Contractors nationwide. With 4 fabrication facilities, AES assists customers by reducing freight costs and shipment lead times. An Assembler (I) for Lennox AES at the Wheeling, WV location is crucial to the production process, preparing components and assembling parts to create finished products. This role involves following detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient product creation, and includes responsibilities such as painting, finishing, and/or insulating products.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams, or assembly instructions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to learn how to operate basic machinery (ex. Waterjet).
  • Able to paint and work with insulation.

Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to assemble components or products.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of assembled products to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with components or finished products.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
  • May perform other limited assembly, fabrication, production, or operator tasks of a standard nature.
