About The Position

Temp Staff Management Group is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler for our client in Edison, NJ. This role will be responsible for the safe operation of various machines and equipment involved in production. You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we launch our facility in Edison, NJ.

Requirements

• High level of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to manipulate small or delicate parts.
• Ability to read measurements (like a tape measure or calipers) and calculate dimensions.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 35 to 50 pounds.
• Ability to spot minor assembly errors and adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Willingness to collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to meet daily production quotas.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of related experience required.
• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.

• Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fit, fasten, or glue parts together using hand tools, fixtures, or automated equipment based on standardized assembly sequences.
• Read, interpret, and follow assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure products meet exact tolerances.
• Perform visual inspections and operational tests on assembled parts to identify defects or missing components.
• Retrieve, stage, and organize parts and subassemblies, notifying supervisors of low inventory or malfunctioning equipment.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free workstation, comply with all safety policies, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
