Manufacturing Application Engineer
About The Position
Saratech is seeking highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Application Engineers to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience with Siemens Tecnomatix, Line Designer, and/or Opcenter software for presales, services, and post-sales support. They should be personable, a natural helper with a customer service-minded philosophy, thrive in a fast-paced and learning-intensive environment, enjoy solving challenging problems, and deliver solutions graciously over the phone or in person. The candidate should be comfortable working autonomously, want to see the team succeed, and find satisfaction in playing a critical role. The training will provide the opportunity to contribute to services projects, especially around manufacturing engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering
- A desire to work in the product lifecycle management field focusing on Siemens' manufacturing tools
- Strong understanding of engineering processes and product development cycles
- Experience with engineering tools like CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM, eCAD, EDA, Mfg
- Proficient in one or more programming or scripting languages
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- US Citizen for ITAR related work
Nice To Haves
- Project management experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and support for software products, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Provide higher-level technical support to extend our customers' abilities to apply Tecnomatix, Line Designer, and/or Opcenter solutions to meet design challenges.
- Perform pre/post sales customer support including software demonstrations.
- Implement, configure, and customize Siemens tools to meet business requirements.
- Work closely with clients to analyze their current processes, identify areas for improvement, and get user adoption on the solutions effectively.
- Develop user training materials and conduct training sessions to enhance the adoption of Siemens tools.
- Develop a foundational knowledge of the standards and regulatory requirements which affect the design and manufacture of products.
- Contribute to future software releases by prioritizing known product defects and communicate customer feedback to Siemens' product development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of electrical tool strategies.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of our offerings based on customer feedback.
- Gain further knowledge of CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM/eCAD/EDA/Mfg solutions and market needs.
