About The Position

Imagine your work directly enabling humanity’s return to the Moon and paving the way for deep space exploration. As a Manufacturing Analyst on Boeing’s Artemis program, lead in the development of the production systems and processes for the newest product to be added to the Michoud heritage, the Exploration Upper Stage. The Boeing Space Launch System (SLS) team is seeking multiple Manufacturing Analysts to join the team at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including associate, experienced and senior level manufacturing analysts. Boeing and NASA are building the world’s largest rocket for human exploration of deep space. The Space Launch System (SLS) provides a critical heavy-lift capability, powering people and cargo beyond our moon and into deep space to enable diverse exploration, science and security missions. This position is for either first shift or a split-shift / 2nd shift (i.e. 12pm-8pm). Work shift and hours to be discussed during interview. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Michoud site in New Orleans, LA.

Requirements

  • Experience with engineering designs, manufacturing processes, large-scale systems integration, and software application
  • Experience with research and development activities in support of new product development

  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Well organized and able to multi-task, detail oriented while also working within time constraints and deadlines
  • Experience with developing work instructions
  • Excels at operating in an extremely fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience within aerospace or automotive production
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Willing to work alternating shifts, holidays, and weekends to support customer’s needs

Responsibilities

  • Identify new or projected areas of manufacturing technological research and advancement
  • Provide guidance in improvements of complex engineering designs, manufacturing processes, large-scale systems integration, and software applications
  • Identify the need for future training on new technology and benchmarks training with other companies throughout the industry
  • Plan research and development activities in support of new product development
  • Leads process improvement efforts

  • Works under consultative direction
