About The Position

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a skilled Manual Support Machinist to join their team in Nashville, TN. This is a hands-on role where you will play a critical part in building custom automation solutions, working primarily with manual machining alongside CNC operations. This opportunity is for someone who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and problem-solving to make a real impact in an engineering-driven, collaborative environment where no two projects are the same. The role consists of approximately 80% manual machining and 20% CNC work.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience as a Manual Machinist, with exposure to CNC machining
Strong understanding of machining principles and precision measurement tools
5+ years of prior machining experience
High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Acu-Rite MILLPWR G2 and EZTRACK
Knowledge of CMM and GD&T preferred
Vocational school preferred
Journeyman machinist preferred

Responsibilities

Perform manual machining operations with a high degree of accuracy
Program conversational controllers; familiarity with Acu-Rite MILLPWR G2 and EZTRACK
Interpret and manipulate 2D CAD files and import DXF files for machining processes
Collaborate with internal teams to confirm critical fixture setups, including orientation and dimensions
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards
Inspect and confirm critical dimensions independently
Clearly communicate potential quality issues to management
