Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Working knowledge of machine equipment, tooling, and processes
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
- Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Calculate dimensions
- Inspect the workstation to ensure that the machine and other equipment are in working order, set up machine and load materials into it.
- Pay attention to tool settings to remain within tolerances.
- Adjust controls to correct for variations in tool settings.
- Monitor the machining process to ensure quality and precision
- Make adjustments to the machine settings as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance
- Inspect finished products using variety of inspection tool (calipers, mics, etc)
