About The Position

This role involves safely and accurately utilizing manual machining equipment to repair, fabricate, and manufacture typical industrial process components. These components include, but are not limited to, shafts, shaft sleeves, mechanical seal components, bushings, bearing housing sleeves, and wear rings. The specific duties and responsibilities may be modified at the discretion of management based on business needs, customer demands, or other industry-related circumstances.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on experience with manual machining equipment in an industrial machine shop environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Tenacious
• Professionally articulate
• Professional in appearance and actions
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and verbalize in a professional, organized manner
• Successful in interfacing with direct leadership, company leadership, and fellow team members
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities
• Self-starter and Self-directed
• Ability to hear alarms
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately utilize manual machining equipment including manual lathe, milling machine, drill press, vertical turret lathe, key seater, and manual shaft straightener to repair/fabricate/manufacture typical industrial process components.
• Manufacture components such as shafts, shaft sleeves, mechanical seal components, bushings, bearing housing sleeves, and wear rings.
