About The Position
Aegis is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the city of Chicago looking to identify a Manual Machinist to join their team! This role offers a massive overtime opportunity (up to 20 hours weekly!) in a very clean shop environment. The company is a global leader in their niche space of manufacturing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of manual machining experience
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Precision measurement skills with micrometers and calipers (tolerances to 0.0005 – 0.001”)
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience running VTL or horizontal boring mills is a plus
Responsibilities
- Set up and machine components and parts for all types of pumps
- Interpret drawings and travelers
- Cut, grind, shape, and fit parts to precise tolerances
