The Manual Machinist will operate, set up, and maintain manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment to produce and repair metal components to precise specifications. This full-time, on-site role is based in Jacksonville, FL and involves reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations, tolerances, and materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include measuring and marking workpieces, selecting appropriate tooling and speeds/feeds, performing roughing and finishing operations, and verifying dimensions using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools. The machinist will troubleshoot machining issues, adjust setups as needed, and ensure all work meets quality, safety, and deadline requirements. Additional duties may include assisting with equipment maintenance, collaborating with team members on complex repairs, and contributing to continuous improvement in shop processes.
