The Manual Machinist Tool & Die Maker is responsible for the complete process of machining parts, fitting, and assembling stamping dies under the guidance of the tool & die lead and manager. Key duties include sharpening punches, dies, and other tooling, as well as creating and building jigs, fixtures, and tools. The role also involves performing necessary die repairs, scheduled preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. The individual will be required to set up and operate conventional metalworking machinery for various machining operations on new and existing parts. Maintaining a clean work area and machines, complying with company safety policies, and being available to work outside of standard hours as needed are also essential aspects of this position.
