About The Position

Du-Co Ceramics Company is looking for a Tool and Die Maker to join our team in our Saxonburg location. The ideal candidate will be able to make all types of dies, especially ceramic pressing dies, pierce, punching, form and drawing dies. Candidate must be capable of operating all types of machines in tool and die shop efficiently to within .0005 of any part of any tool, die or fixture ready for milling, drilling, grinding, turning, shaping or any hand or machine operation. Must also be able to do bench work in die assembly and personally do fitting required to make die operate efficiently. Must be able to take all component parts of a tool, die or fixture and quickly diagnose what changes are required, where metal is to be removed, what parts require high polish and finish. Ability to program, set-up, and operate CNC and related machines, create, load, and save programs per established procedures. Perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance programs for proper machine performance. Requirements

  • Four or more years experience as a Tool & Die Maker A (Tool & Die Maker B - three or more years experience)
  • Capable of instructing others in all aspects of the job and work without supervision.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues and achieving solutions
  • Must furnish own tools
