This position involves setting up and operating manual mills and lathes on a variety of materials with limited assistance. The Manual Machinist II will use milling, drilling, grinding, and other machines to lay out work and produce quality parts. This role requires the ability to decipher sketches, blueprints, and engineering details with assistance, and to carry a job through from raw materials to finished products based on drawings, sketches, samples, or verbal instruction. Responsibilities also include sharpening, reworking, resetting, and repairing cutting tools, as well as inspecting and checking parts being produced. The position requires maintaining accurate production records and job history, and keeping a clean and orderly work area. Any other assigned duty as directed by management will also be performed.
