About The Position

Milwaukee Tool is hiring a Manual Lab Lead Technician for a second-shift role, Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a shift premium. The technician leads and develops a team while supporting business objectives and maintaining effective manual testing operations. The role also supports new product design teams through test development, data analysis, competitor benchmarking, and feedback to engineering.

Requirements

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a hands-on attitude.
• Knowledge of various types of test equipment and ability to train others in its proper use.
• Ability to lift and manipulate 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering or a manufacturing-related field.
• At least 3 years of test lab or comparable experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mechanical mindset and aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Model Milwaukee Tool's culture and lead, mentor, and coach the team to maintain an effective workforce and support business objectives.
• Manage multiple tasks to achieve desired outcomes and meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot, rework, and perform repairs according to testing requirements.
• Prepare and maintain reports and manage documentation control systems.
• Support new product design teams through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
• Provide engineering with feedback about testing requirements and advice for improving testing methods.
• Train team members in best practices for test preparation and execution.
• Approve temporary workers' timecards and monitor overtime use.
• Direct and oversee temporary workers performing manual testing, while organizing and maintaining a team atmosphere.
• Audit shop test employees to ensure testing follows work instructions and testing schedules.
• Ensure employees follow standard work and applicable engineering standards for workstations, machines, and departments.
• Maintain test procedures and equipment according to departmental procedures.
