About The Position

The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking an enthusiastic Mandarin Teacher to bring language, culture, and engaging learning experiences into our early childhood program. This is a unique opportunity for a Mandarin-speaking educator who loves working with young children. You'll introduce Mandarin naturally through conversation, songs, stories, movement, games, and hands-on activities, helping children build early language exposure in a fun and encouraging environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Fluency in Mandarin required
Comfortable leading songs, stories, games, and interactive group activities
Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous teaching, tutoring, childcare, preschool, or experience working with children preferred
Early childhood education experience is a plus
Energetic, creative, dependable, and engaging

Responsibilities

Introduce Mandarin through developmentally appropriate classroom experiences
Engage children through Mandarin songs, stories, conversation, games, and movement
Create fun and interactive activities that encourage early language development
Incorporate vocabulary into everyday classroom routines and play
Introduce age-appropriate cultural experiences, traditions, music, and stories
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate Mandarin throughout the learning environment
Adapt activities for different ages and developmental levels
Maintain a positive, engaging, and well-organized learning environment
Build positive relationships with children, families, and teaching teams
Follow applicable New York City childcare health, safety, and licensing requirements
