About The Position

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking an enthusiastic Mandarin Teacher to introduce young children to the Mandarin language through engaging, age-appropriate experiences. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers while fostering a love of language and culture in a fun, interactive classroom environment. As our Mandarin Teacher, you'll incorporate songs, stories, games, movement, and hands-on activities to help children naturally develop listening, speaking, and early vocabulary skills.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken; reading and writing skills are a plus)
Experience teaching or working with young children preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Energetic, creative, and passionate about language education
Must meet all applicable New York State and New York City childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities

Teach Mandarin to children through immersive, play-based learning experiences
Plan engaging lessons using music, storytelling, games, art, and movement
Encourage language development in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate environment
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate Mandarin into daily routines and activities
Foster an appreciation for Chinese language and culture
Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment
Follow all New York State and New York City licensing and health and safety requirements
