About The Position

AW Health Care is a women-owned enterprise seeking individuals with a strong commitment to customer service and a passion for geriatric care. We pride ourselves on taking exceptional care of homebound clients throughout the St Louis City and County areas. We are currently seeking individuals experienced in caring for individuals with Dementia and Alzheimer's. Specific training, certifications, and experience in this area are preferred. Availability is needed between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM for shifts ranging from four to twelve hours. We have a specific client needing a Mandarin-speaking caregiver on Mondays and Thursdays, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, located in the North St Louis County 63146 area.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be willing to travel in the St Louis City & County areas
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable/personal vehicle with auto insurance coverage
Availability to work every other weekend, required
Availability/Ability work work 30 hours per month, required
Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs, required

Nice To Haves

Experience caring for individuals with Dementia and Alzheimer's
Specific training, certifications and experience in Dementia and Alzheimer's care
Ability to work in homes with pets and smokers
Ability to work in client homes located in assisted living or independent living with pets
Experience working as a Caregiver / CNA / Home Care Aide/Mental Health Tech for Dementia and Alzheimer's geriatric patients
