About The Position

Rosetta Stone, a part of IXL Learning, is seeking a Mandarin Language Tutor to join their Language Tutor Team. This role involves facilitating small, engaging, and safe online tutoring sessions to help learners speak, read, and write their new language with confidence. The tutor will motivate learners, serve as a bridge for communication and cultural connection, and contribute to changing lives through language education. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes pride in their commitment to learners and colleagues, is a team player, and thrives in an adaptable work environment with strong time management skills. The position is fully remote and part-time in the United States, requiring availability on weekdays and weekends between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM Eastern Time, with a specific need for availability at least twice per week on weekdays between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM ET. Additional availability on weekdays or weekends between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM ET may also be required.

Requirements

• Native Mandarin speaker
• Proven flexibility in schedule to meet the hours outlined in the overview
• Completion of Bachelor's degree
• Must be comfortable with technology and have access to broadband Internet from a personal computer (Wired internet connection required)
• Strong proficiency with technology and online platform experience with web conferencing solutions preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, ability to teach grammar concepts
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills - dynamic, enthusiastic, upbeat individual who connects well with others and has a positive, collaborative attitude

Nice To Haves

• Teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred
• Familiarity with Rosetta Stone platforms desired
• Availability between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM ET on weekdays or weekends may also be needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions in all products offered by Rosetta Stone
• Prepare and adapt sessions to meet the needs of both child and adult learners
• Provide actionable feedback in sessions to learners for areas of improvement
