About The Position
Language Trainers is an international language training company working with freelance teachers of 99+ languages in hundreds of cities worldwide. Founded in 2004, our motto is Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere (and Online). We provide customized language training to professionals and private students for work, family, and travel purposes. We are currently looking for a freelance Mandarin Chinese Teacher for one of our clients in Seattle, United States. The course is a General type, with a three-to-one format, totaling 30 hours. Each session is two hours long. The student is at an Elementary level, aged 18-24, and prefers to meet once per week on Tuesdays at 6 PM, but is open to other times if Tuesday is not available. The preferred start date is Asap. The student's motivation is to visit China and speak the language, having taken Mandarin in high school but forgotten most of it. Matthew has never learned Mandarin.
Requirements
- Be a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
- Have a valid work permit/visa
- Live within 20 miles of the specified location (98103, Seattle)
