About The Position

A Data Center Sales Associate supports the growth of data center sales by identifying customer needs, delivering technical and commercial guidance, and driving revenue through brokerage and consultative sales. This role bridges customer requirements with data center financing, appraisal, and PDM services.

Requirements

  • Experience in data center sales or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, networking, security).
  • Proficiency in CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new leads for data centers, data center land, and other data center offerings.
  • Conduct discovery calls and meetings to understand property infrastructure, capacity, and operational needs.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored presentations and proposals.
  • Support the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting to negotiation to close.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline using CRM tools and meet monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing customers.
  • Build long-term customer relationships by providing proactive communication and support.
  • Assist in coordinating facility tours, technical meetings, and onboarding discussions.
  • Ensure a smooth handoff from sales to financing, appraisal and PDM.
  • Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of data center infrastructure, including: Power distribution and redundancy (UPS, generators), Cooling systems, Network connectivity and cross‑connects, Security and compliance frameworks.
  • Translate technical features into clear, value‑driven customer benefits.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate pricing.
  • Track industry trends, new technologies, and competitive offerings.
  • Provide internal feedback on market opportunities, pricing adjustments, and capital markets changes.
  • Support marketing campaigns, events, trade shows, and lead‑generation activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM records for all interactions, proposals, and opportunities.
  • Prepare sales activity reports, forecasting updates, and account summaries for leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, contractual requirements, and data privacy standards.
  • Work closely with finance, appraisal, and PDM to provide and receive leads on business opportunities.
  • Participate in internal meetings to align on pipeline health.
