About The Position

This role involves working directly with leading private equity and hedge fund firms in the alternative asset industry. The Managing Director will be responsible for facilitating the service offering by assisting, performing, and reviewing various accounting and administrative tasks for these clients. The position requires managing complex financial components, overseeing the preparation and delivery of financial statements, assessing and enhancing operational processes, and training junior team members.

Requirements

  • 15 plus years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a combination of alternative asset investment and public accounting roles.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proven proficiency in accounting and administration for alternative investment funds.
  • A Bachelor’ degree in Accounting.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work, manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and provide exceptional client service.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Investran.
  • Communicate effectively in professional, collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support IQ-EQ client leads across multiple Private Equity funds, ensuring deliverables align with limited partnership agreements and client expectations.
  • Manage and review complex financial components, including journal entries, investor allocations, capital calls/distributions, fee and carried interest calculations, and waterfall models.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules, and investor notices, while coordinating with auditors and tax teams during year-end processes.
  • Assess and enhance operational processes, handle routine and ad-hoc client requests, and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Train and mentor junior team members, fostering development while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
