Fair Share Housing Center (FSHC) is a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to dismantling racial and economic discrimination in housing through legal, policy, and community-building strategies. For over 50 years, FSHC has significantly impacted housing and land use policy in New Jersey and nationally, notably through its role in establishing and defending the Mount Laurel Doctrine, securing a landmark Fair Housing Act settlement, and spearheading the Fair Chance in Housing Act and New Jersey's 2024 affordable housing legislation (A4/S50). The organization is currently focused on implementing A4/S50 by reforming local policies to expand affordable housing opportunities, aiming for an additional 50,000 affordable homes in the next decade. FSHC is positioned to drive transformative policy change at all levels due to the critical nature of housing affordability and the ongoing movements for racial justice.
