About The Position

This role is responsible for defining and evolving the enterprise Data & Analytics strategy in alignment with business priorities. The position involves building a framework to translate business outcomes into prioritized D&A initiatives, fostering a data-driven decision-making culture, and developing a strategic roadmap and investment plan for analytics initiatives. The role also includes establishing a value-tracking framework for analytics use cases and enterprise KPIs, working closely with Finance and business leaders to quantify and realize business value from analytics, and coordinating across teams for clarity, prioritization, and strategic focus. The Managing Director will serve as the voice of D&A in enterprise planning, budgeting, and innovation forums, support executive and board-level reporting on analytics investments and ROI, and contribute to decisions on data operating models and investment governance. Additionally, the role oversees the standardization of data business processes, leads data literacy and fluency across the organization, manages the development of data fluency curriculum and training programs, and champions a data-driven culture. The position also involves establishing success metrics for data maturity and data fluency, providing thought leadership and change management for modern analytics tools, and mentoring teams responsible for data enablement, education, and business process optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years in strategy, planning, or analytics leadership.
  • Proven experience in strategy, analytics, and value realization within financial services.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, data platforms, and operating models.
  • Ability to connect analytics to growth, risk, and client experience outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Build a framework that translates business outcomes into prioritized D&A initiatives, creating a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap and investment plan for analytics initiatives.
  • Establish a value-tracking framework for analytics use cases and enterprise KPIs.
  • Work closely with Finance and business leaders to quantify and realize business value from analytics.
  • Coordinate across teams to ensure clarity, prioritization, and strategic focus.
  • Serve as the voice of D&A in enterprise planning, budgeting, and innovation forums.
  • Support executive and board-level reporting on analytics investments and ROI.
  • Contribute to decisions on data operating models and investment governance.
  • Establish value tracking frameworks and ROI dashboards with Finance.
  • Partner with Technology to ensure platforms and processes enable speed, trust, and reuse.
  • Represent D&A in planning, budgeting, and innovation forums.
  • Oversee the standardization of data business processes, including data intake, lifecycle management, quality, stewardship, and decision-support workflows to enable scalable and trusted analytics.
  • Lead data literacy and data fluency across the organization, designing and overseeing role based learning pathways (foundational to advanced) that build confidence in interpreting, using, and communicating with data.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of data fluency curriculum and training programs, including courses, certifications, learning content, and enablement materials tailored to business leaders, managers, and practitioners.
  • Partner cross functionally with HR, IT, Analytics, and business leaders to embed data fluency into onboarding, leadership development, and ongoing capability building programs.
  • Champion a data driven culture, promoting best practices in data informed decision making, storytelling, and ethical data use across the enterprise.
  • Establish success metrics for data maturity and data fluency, tracking adoption, skill progression, and business impact of training and data process improvements.
  • Provide thought leadership and change management to support organizational adoption of modern analytics tools, self service data platforms, and standardized data practices.
  • Mentor and lead teams or communities of practice responsible for data enablement, education, and business process optimization.
