Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO) is seeking a Managing Attorney for its Immigration Practice Group. The organization's mission is to provide civil legal aid and advocacy to overcome unfairness and injustice, reduce poverty, and increase opportunity. LASCO has a history of addressing the repetitive and fundamental legal problems facing low-income Ohioans. The Immigration Managing Attorney will provide leadership to supervisors, attorneys, and paralegals, engage in impact representation, litigation planning, strategy, community education, assist in identifying and pursuing funding, and collaborate with the leadership team to balance individual client needs with the need for broader systemic change. The ideal candidate is dedicated to improving the lives of low-income individuals, enjoys helping clients, is motivated, professional, thrives in a collaborative environment, believes in resolutions beyond traditional litigation, is interested in developing legal skills, has expertise in Immigration Law, promotes a culture of high performance, has expertise in Housing litigation, and can balance responsiveness to attorney issues with organizational priorities.
