About The Position
Purdys Chocolatier is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Shop Manager to lead their new shop in Mic Mac Mall. This is an exciting opportunity to launch a brand-new shop and introduce customers to premium chocolates and exceptional customer experience. As a brand champion in a new market, the manager will play a key role in building awareness of Purdys, creating memorable customer experiences, and establishing a high-performing retail team. Success will come from the ability to connect with customers, inspire the team, and drive results in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a full-time contract position requiring open availability (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of progressive management experience in retail or hospitality
- A passion for chocolate and premium products
- Strong sales focus and results-driven mindset
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Energy, positivity, and a love for connecting with people
Responsibilities
- Drive sales performance and achieve profit targets
- Lead day-to-day shop operations with efficiency and excellence
- Recruit, interview, and hire top talent
- Build, coach, and develop a strong retail team
- Manage scheduling and team performance
- Act as a liaison between the shop and the Purdys Support Office
- Champion Purdys’ values, culture, and customer-obsessed service
- Maintain inventory levels to support daily operations
