Responsible for oversight and direction of the Milieu and all milieu direct care staff. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the units to ensure clinical aspects meet all regulatory requirements for the residents. The Manager is responsible for the safe and effective day-to-day management of the milieu through adequate staff coverage, training, and developing sound policies, procedures, and protocols. This includes planning and developing unit schedules, providing a safe and positive environment, and ensuring staff-ratio compliance. The role also encompasses providing training and orientation for new staff, offering direct feedback, coaching, mentoring, and training, and identifying staff development and compliance issues. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees for the milieu staff, and providing direction to the Milieu Coordinator regarding scheduling. The position oversees or facilitates individual and admission discharge processes, manages the maintenance of records, and ensures 100% compliance of individual records. The Manager is also responsible for maintaining timekeeping, staff evaluations, and corrective actions. This role involves providing direction and assistance in supervising residents during crisis intervention, emergency, and conflict situations, including physical management and de-escalation, followed by debriefing with staff and residents. As a team leader, the Manager must be able to assist with patients and cover unit/group home as necessary to maintain ratios, demonstrating a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers at all times. When patient needs are not met, the Manager acknowledges and works to resolve complaints, recognizing that patient safety is a top priority. Other functions include performing other assigned tasks.
