About The Position

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Manager in New York, New York, in Strategy, Growth, and Transformation | Enterprise Technology Strategy and Transformation. The role manages information technology projects and client engagements focused on cloud transformation and data ecosystems. Telecommuting is permitted, and the position requires 50% national travel. The Manager oversees projects spanning cloud messaging, ground-to-cloud connectivity, cloud strategy, operating model transformation, cloud development and integration, APIs, cloud migration, cloud infrastructure and engineering, and cloud managed services. The role also manages the design and implementation of large-scale data ecosystems, including data management, governance, and integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights using cloud-based platforms. The position involves managing interactions with client executives and sponsors, maintaining contact with top decision makers, leading aspects of proposal development and contributing to proposal pricing strategies. The Manager also serves as a counselor and coach, participates in recruitment and retention, supports delivery teams and local office staff, and contributes to internal process improvement, knowledge sharing, and market eminence. The role requires a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in business administration, a STEM field, or a related field, plus three years of related experience; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent and five years of progressive related experience are accepted. Three years of experience are required in each of the specified technology, client engagement, project tracking, team coordination, training, business process modeling, and cloud architecture areas.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in business administration, a STEM field, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent plus 5 years of progressive related work experience.
3 years of experience participating in the creation of innovative cloud-based technology solutions and developing IT visions, strategies, and roadmaps using Microsoft Office 365 and Miro.
3 years of experience interfacing with client stakeholders, gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements, and translating them into project designs using MS Teams and MS Office 365.
3 years of experience tracking and reporting project and milestone deliverable status and communicating updates using Jira and Asana.
3 years of experience coordinating cross-functional onshore and offshore team responsibilities using MS Teams and Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
3 years of experience designing and delivering user manuals and training using MS SharePoint and Confluence.
3 years of experience mapping current and future-state business service flows using flow charts, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and State-Machine and Rules-Driven Workflow techniques.
3 years of experience designing scalable, secure, and efficient technical cloud ecosystems and integrating on-premises and cloud applications using the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Google Cloud Architecture Framework.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end information technology project journeys from on-premises environments to cloud across the specified cloud strategy, migration, engineering, development, integration, connectivity, and managed services focus areas.
Manage the design and implementation of large-scale data ecosystems, including data management, governance, and integration of structured and unstructured data on cloud-based platforms.
Manage day-to-day interactions with information technology project executives and sponsors and develop and maintain contact with top decision makers.
Lead aspects of information technology project proposal development and contribute to proposal pricing strategies.
Serve as a counselor and coach; participate in staff recruitment and retention; and provide leadership and support to delivery teams and staff in local offices.
Improve internal processes and promote knowledge sharing through contributions to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.
Participate in creating cloud-based technology solutions, IT visions, strategies, and roadmaps.
Gather and analyze client functional and technical requirements and translate them into project designs.
Track and report project and milestone deliverable status and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to support efficient completion of project tasks.
Design and deliver user manuals and training to support solution implementation, adoption, and maintenance.
Map current and future-state business service flows to help design components for online applications.
Design scalable, secure, and efficient cloud ecosystems for enterprise applications and integrate on-premises and cloud applications.
