About The Position

KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old. KidStrong offers a science-based curriculum that is parent-focused and taught by professionals. We are looking for talented, enthusiastic leaders with a strong capacity of multi-tasking who want a career in building better kids and helping to guide these centers to success. As the Manager of a KidStrong center, you are the one of the driving forces behind its success. While the schedule includes designated days off, true ownership means being present when needed—whether to support your team, engage with members, or seize opportunities to grow the center. The typical schedule includes 4 weekdays and 1-weekend shift with specific hours dependent on the needs of the center.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of experience in management, sales, customer service, or operations.
  • Must be available to work weekends (need to work 1 weekend day/week).
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • CPR Certification Required (can be obtained post-hire).
  • Ability to be active and energetic throughout the day.
  • Comfortable demonstrating physical activities and coaching kids.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
  • Previous experience in management is required.
  • Practical work experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.
  • Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 6 months - 11 years old - a passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
  • Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding a variety of topics.
  • Achieve Coach Certification through the Certification team.
  • Complete training through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
  • CPR certified or willing to obtain certification prior to opening the center.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in children’s programming, fitness, education, or athletics is a plus.
  • Previous experience with systems and platforms such as Glofox, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, and Podium is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Management team in leading and developing a high-performing team, creating a positive, energetic environment for coaches and members.
  • Assist in overseeing sales, operations, and the member experience to help drive growth and retention.
  • Partner closely with the Area Developers and other management staff to ensure smooth day-to-day center operations and consistent execution.
  • Help drive community engagement and class growth through scheduling, outreach, and local marketing efforts.
  • Lead from the front by coaching ~ 5 classes per week and modeling the KidStrong experience.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, training and developing new and existing coaches while maintaining program quality and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized facility with a “roll up your sleeves” mindset and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
  • Understand the center’s key KPIs and financials to make informed and responsible business decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee center initiatives i.e. center maintenance, training, brand consistency, etc.
  • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center as needed.
  • Communicate any Coach schedule changes using appropriate scheduling and communication platforms.
  • Sell and schedule events such as camps and parties, to maximize center profitability.
  • Create content in our Social Media and manage our Instagram/Facebook pages to engage the community.
  • Maintain flawless lead management by conducting call drives to new and existing leads in the Center’s CRM tool.
  • Finalize sales and bookings that are generated through online self-sign-up flow and after trials.
  • Source and attend local events to increase brand awareness, and drive incremental leads and memberships.
  • Foster a coaching culture - see something, say something.
  • Continuously assess and document coaches based on the KidStrong Coach DNA profile and class quality.
  • Partner with the Management team on onboarding, managing, training, and evaluating coaching candidates.
  • Manage and support the ongoing professional development of staff through LearnUpon.
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack and Email, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers.
  • Coach students by delivering an evolving curriculum that focuses on Brain, Physical, and Character development for ages ranging from crawling to 11 years old approximately as required by business demands.
  • Understand the “why” behind the KidStrong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.
  • Use the KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).
  • Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
  • Must be comfortable physically working with kids to ensure proper technique, maintain a structured class and ensure student safety.

  • Base Salary: Minimum Starting at $60,000+, depending on experience with children, coaching, leadership, and team development.
