About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Warehouse Operations ensuring efficient, cost-effective usage of resources. This role will be responsible for improving the efficiency of warehouse shift daily operations, while maintaining quality and motivating and solidifying a high-performance warehouse team. We are seeking a progressive leader with experience in manufacturing warehouse activities.

Requirements

• Must be proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Training in computer systems with emphasis on inventories, shipping and billing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with chemicals, knowledge/certification of hazardous shipping, shipping and receiving methods.
• Acts decisively and functions effectively under stressful situations.
• Manages deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
• Must be willing and able to work hours necessary to achieve desired results.
• 4-6 years proven experience leading and managing a warehouse team. (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Lean, 5S, JIT highly desired.
• AS400 and ERP system knowledge and experience is preferred.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Preferred)
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (Preferred)
• 4-6 years in warehousing, transportation, primary trucking, distribution/order filling, and computer systems for storage, shipping, and billing. (Preferred)
• 4-6 years in warehouse management in the manufacturing industry. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse staff. Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and ensure all staff are meeting performance standards.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Provides adequate resources to ensure the warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and material handling functions can be carried out with optimal efficiency.
• Progressively pursue on time shipments with a goal of 100%.
• Establish and maintain key customer service level measurements, including loading time by customer, activity profiles by department and carrier performance issues.
• Maintain knowledge of and compliance with applicable government regulations.
• Implement and train personnel on proper safety, cGMPs, and shipping procedures/protocols.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse at all times.
• Maintain accurate inventory to meet customer demands by ensuring all warehouse related entries are entered into the system.
• Manage scrap and obsolete material destruction.
• Promote continuous improvement efforts in order to reduce the delay of orders and/or picking errors.
• Manage warehouse equipment and ensure proper maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Manage costs within budget.
• Manage department budget.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align warehouse operations with business objectives.
• Manage month-end inventory closeouts.
• Ensure month-end balances are accurate.
• Complete investigations of customer or carrier complaints originated in the warehouse.
