About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing various warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, equipment management, inventory accuracy, material flow, and leadership of warehouse personnel. The position requires ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods, maintaining equipment, and meeting operational targets. The work environment may involve exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures, and adherence to Haz/Com regulations and safety standards is mandatory. The job involves significant standing and walking, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 5+ years of working experience as a Logistics and/or Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in standard production planning and logistics software.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear.

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Oracle experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in Automotive and OEM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile incoming items with purchase orders/RMAs.
  • Receive and record incoming core, new, and warranty items in Oracle.
  • Move and transfer items to proper physical and Oracle locations.
  • Communicate with relevant parties to resolve receiving issues.
  • Maintain receiving records, including pictures, bills of lading, and packing slips.
  • Supervise the packing of outgoing items.
  • Generate product and shipping labels.
  • Coordinate pickups with logistics partners.
  • Arrange item pickups from vendors, customers, and sister plants.
  • Ensure proper material handling equipment is available and certified personnel operate it.
  • Schedule equipment repairs with vendors.
  • Coordinate the purchasing and installation of warehouse racks and shelves.
  • Ensure warehouse rows, racks, and bins are properly labeled and create new bin locations as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts and recommend inventory adjustments.
  • Lead annual physical inventory count activities.
  • Coordinate the timely disposal of scrap material and E&O.
  • Ensure the accuracy of material flow transactions (in and out of the warehouse).
  • Supervise raw material picks for assembly.
  • Supervise finished goods picks for shipping.
  • Supervise warehouse technicians and forklift operators.
  • Train personnel on the safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Supervise, coach, and train the warehouse workforce.
  • Propose appropriate inventory levels for equipment spare parts and consumables.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
  • Perform various duties as needed.
