Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and 7+ years of related experience (reconditioning and/or lot operations; body shop; automotive service and/ or repair; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience). No Degree, 11 years of relevant work experience needed.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a management or lead role.
  • Good communication and interaction skills.
  • Good management and organizational skills.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • The ability to lift 1-30 pounds (light hand tools, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide direction to the supervisors, teams, and team members.
  • Ensure systems are in place to efficiently and effectively manage quality work in accordance with factory standards, company policies and customer expectations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through the direction of technicians/shop staff in the performance of quality maintenance and repair work.
  • Prepare schedules and plan staff rotations to ensure maintenance/repair work is completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Analyze incoming vehicles for service needs.
  • Maintain supply and support systems, including technical reference material, workshop supplies and other related materials.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Mentor and teach technicians to ensure overall growth of the team.
  • Ensure that all personnel adhere to company policies and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
