About The Position

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Value Stream Leader to lead transformative programs and projects within our Rotorcraft, MIL, and Props business onsite in either Uniontown OH or Union WV. This pivotal, individual contributor role serves as the problem-solver of choice, recommending bold solutions to tough challenges, delivering real-time progress updates, and playing a key role in negotiating contracts that drive success. We’re looking for an adaptable individual who can maintain production programs, pursue new pursuits, and operate independently with both internal or external contacts as needed. This position works onsite at either our Uniontown OH or Union WV facilities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience with manufacturing operations and/or supply chain
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Either technical or operational background
  • Familiarity with Global Trade, FAR/DFAR, and other military procurement elements
  • Cursory understanding of project management and cross functional team leadership
  • Favorable outlook for: PMP, Quality, CORE/Six Sigma, and other professional training

Responsibilities

  • Establish yourself as at the entry level of portfolio owners in a growth-oriented business with dynamic future opportunities
  • Leads risk and opportunity management for programs in production
  • Lead cross-functional projects for new business or continuous improvement
  • Participate in coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests
  • Lead large programs to support the development of program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility
  • Establish key performance indicators and directs work to achieve these targets
  • Analyze data and monitors programs to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and technical specifications
  • Maintain and present plans and progress reports relating to business status
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality, specifically utilizing CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), lean, or six sigma methodology
  • Identify and address program problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful performance of programs in production including field service safety issues, customer satisfaction issues, obsolescence, work transfers, improvements for capacity, and supplier requests
  • Lead program work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with the customer program objectives supporting development phase and then owning the production phase
  • Direct program phases from start of production through completion (sunsetting) of program
  • Interface with customers for program requirements to ensure successful completion
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs
