About The Position
As a Manager of Value Stream Engineering at MKS, you will be the end-to-end owner of one or more value streams in optical fabrication. You will partner with operations and engineering teams to continually optimize flow, capacity, quality, and output. In this role, you will report to the Director of Manufacturing/Operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Engineering degree
- 5+ years of related experience
- Expertise in process optimization and lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) in manufacturing work cells and production area
Nice To Haves
- Experience with change management
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
Responsibilities
- Own overall cell output and value stream performance (“cell health”)
- Analyze and improve flow of materials, information, and resources
- Identify bottlenecks and eliminate process inefficiencies
- Balance capacity across interdependent fabrication cells
- Lead end-to-end process optimization initiatives (e.g., full product lifecycle reviews)
- Communicate cell needs and constraints to supervisors, planners, engineering, and supply chain
- Establish and align engineering and production priorities
- Coordinate with management on capacity planning and resource allocation
- Monitor SFIC inputs/outputs and enforce process discipline
- Review, prioritize, and track Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP)
- Ensure documentation accuracy (OWIs, routers, training materials)
