About The Position

The Manager – Utility Solutions provides strategic, consultative sales and technical support for Badger Meter’s national strategic utility accounts. This role partners with Utility Sales teams to drive complex opportunities, RFP/Bid responses, and customer solution development while expanding Badger Meter’s market share and customer experience. This is a remote role and will require regular travel with the Western Territory. The preferred candidate will live in the Western US.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Information Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of related experience; water/utility industry experience preferred
  • Strong consultative and top‑down selling skills
  • Experience supporting complex sales cycles and technical solutions
  • Excellent presentation skills, including executive‑level communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/CSM systems

Responsibilities

  • Support closure of large, strategic utility opportunities through consultative sales leadership
  • Lead win strategies and RFP/Bid responses for national and high‑profile accounts
  • Provide pre‑sales technical support including solution design and pre‑installation planning
  • Partner with Account Managers, proposal teams, consultants, and customers
  • Build relationships with national engineering firms, partners, and key utility stakeholders
  • Represent Badger Meter at trade shows, industry events, presentations, and seminars
  • Maintain expertise in utility metering systems, technology trends, and competitive offerings
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and governmental requirements
