Manager, User Experience (UX) Research and Design Services Your work will include, but not be limited to: UX Center of Excellence Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of UX researchers, designers, and Human-AI interaction specialists that support “Think Cycle” intake and discovery and firmwide project consultations, providing formal performance feedback and supporting their career development Champion user-centered design principles and best practices across the firm, advance adoption of UX standards, and stay current on methods, tools, and trends to advance our UX capabilities. Execute a comprehensive UX strategy that supports the research, design, and development of new processes, products, and services in partnership with our Product Teams and Practice and Internal Firm Services teams. Partner with Technology and Business leaders to align UX capacity and skills to product and project activities Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the UX team UX Center of Excellence Lab Operations: Manage the UX planning process, pipeline, and execution of UX research and design services in partnership with Practice Innovation Committees and Technology Services Measure the effectiveness of UX initiatives through quantitative and qualitative data analysis and prepare executive Conduct UX research and design activities to gather quantitative and qualitative data and operational insights to guide multidisciplinary fusion team recommendations. Ensure the creation of prototypes (paper and digital) achieve the targeted usability and experience goals against a set of established heuristics. Ensure seamless integration of UX research and design findings into the firm’s SDLC processes, balancing user needs with technical capabilities to achieve targeted business outcomes. Ensure the UX research and design artifacts meet UX standards, achieve targeted outcomes, and support the potential transition to internal and/or external technical delivery partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX, or a Social Science, or Human-Computer Interaction, with certifications in UX research and design
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in UX (quantitative and qualitative - behavioral and attitudinal) with at least 2 years in a leadership role (previous R&D experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead a UX Center of Excellence and execute a comprehensive UX strategy that supports the research, design, and development of new processes, products, and services
  • Proven ability to seamlessly integrate UX research and design findings into SDLC processes, balancing user needs with technical capabilities to achieve targeted business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate UX strategies, standards, and trends to stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary fusion teams to explore business problems and prototype potential solutions (processes, products, and services)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies that enable effective collaboration with IT teams in an iterative design and development environment
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary sitting position for at least 75% of the time.
  • Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs– specific job duties may require additional lifting to move, transport, position and install equipment.
  • Frequently positions self to bend and lift packages.
  • Occasional moving & lifting of equipment; bending, lifting, climbing required to position self to maintain computers during engagements.
  • Person in position needs to occasionally move about the inside of the office to access machinery, cabinets, etc.
  • Person in position frequently communicates with individuals who have inquires. Must be able to exchange information in these situations.
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are required including a clean driving record.
  • Minimum levels of auto insurance coverage are required.
  • Ability to travel locally, work overtime and weekends is required.
