About The Position

This role involves managing the US Securities Settlements team, focusing on the settlement of US Government products through Fedwire. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with various trading desks, play an integral role in facilitating high-value settlements, and participate in department-wide projects for process improvements. The incumbent will manage a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, supporting daily operations and ensuring team coverage and preparedness for changes in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in trade settlements
• Ability to lead a team and plan for rapid changes
• Strong communication skills
• Multitasking skills to manage projects while meeting day-to-day settlement requirements
• Ability to work independently and to solve problems using knowledge and experience
• Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel
• Post-secondary education

Responsibilities

• Manage team structure and organize workflows
• Work constructively with teams across multiple business entities and collaborate on projects
• Oversee the settlements of US Fixed Income & Equity Securities and handle all trade exceptions on a timely basis
• Develop plans for effective team coverage and hire new staff as needed
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standards and guidelines instructions and ensures processes and controls are in place to minimize operations risk
• Assist Director, US Securities Settlements with any ad hoc requirements and planning
