About The Position

This role is at the heart of the US Commercial Business for a transformative therapy area, where precise financial insight directly supports access for patients who need it most. Based in Boston, you will connect planning, analytics, and strategy to drive better decisions at speed. As Manager, US Business Finance, you will be the strategic finance partner to Commercial leaders—owning planning cycles, translating performance into action, and shaping investment choices. You will blend deep FP&A expertise with specialized Gross-to-Net analytics, reconciling SAP actuals with Anaplan plans and turning advanced analysis in Excel and Power BI into clear, executive-ready recommendations. You will collaborate across US Finance, Market Access, Sales Operations, Accounting, and our shared services team in Costa Rica. With ethics and transparency as your compass, you will improve processes end-to-end—enhancing forecasting accuracy, strengthening controls, and introducing smarter models, including machine learning, to sharpen GTN insights.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of financial experience; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated finance business partnering experience with ability to influence and advise commercial partners.
  • Knowledge of the US pharmaceutical operating model
  • Strong FP&A background with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel (advanced functions including Power Query), and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present to and challenge senior leadership
  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with ownership and urgency in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Anaplan, Hyperion Planning, Power BI, or other advanced analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with GTN analytics, revenue accounting, or Market Access
  • Understanding of revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15/ASC 606)
  • CPA qualification or progress toward certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for the US Commercial Business.
  • Prepare in-depth analysis of GTN, expense budgets (MTP/RBU), forecasts, and actuals; identify risks, opportunities, and resource optimization needs.
  • Maintain accounts and cost centers in full compliance with Group reporting requirements and drive continuous improvements in planning and reporting.
  • Build cost consciousness across the organization and lead targeted cost-savings initiatives without sacrificing commercial effectiveness.
  • Monitor spend trends, surface risks and opportunities, and guide resource allocation to enhance ROI.
  • Run monthly expense performance reviews with Commercial collaborators and convert results into clear actions.
  • Serve as the lead finance partner to US Commercial Leadership for investment support and financial guidance.
  • Partner closely with leaders supporting Market Access to enable data-driven decisions on programs and contracting.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of pricing strategies, payer agreements, and market access initiatives on net revenue and ROI.
  • Produce and synthesize performance reporting using advanced Excel, Power BI, and other platforms, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Build executive-level presentations that communicate performance, trends, and recommendations.
  • Quantify key drivers—volume, price, mix, and cost—and support GTN analytics including SAP-to-Anaplan reconciliations, materiality reviews, and month-end close.
  • Liaise with Global Finance Services in Costa Rica to deliver shared priorities.
  • Align assumptions and embed insights through collaboration with Market Access, Contracting, Brand, Sales Operations, and Accounting.
  • Partner with US Market Access teams to understand payer dynamics and contracting changes, assessing impacts on GTN liabilities and commercial investments.
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with financial controls, audits, and SOX.
  • Identify, design, and implement improvements to planning and reporting that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Promote standardization and procedures across finance processes, systems, and analytics.
  • Advance continuous improvement in GTN processes, data models, and reporting frameworks, including the adoption of machine learning and AI.
