In this vital role you will support the Finance Transformation and Amgen leadership by using advanced analytics and strategic thinking to characterize business performance across the enterprise, evaluate potential transformation opportunities, and enable step change in business outcomes. The role will support the design and development of financial and workforce analytical capabilities to measure and improve enterprise business performance and provide insights for top priority persistent business questions. Ultimately, this role will support data-driven decision making, building a foundational capability to provide end-to-end insight into business process performance and improvements. We are seeking a Data Scientist who will apply innovative quantitative tools, including but not limited to: AI/ML based modeling and analytics, multivariate statistical and empirical modeling, data warehousing and data automation / tooling of complex data workflows. A successful candidate is expected to have advanced skills in modern data architecture, data modeling and data visualization, as well as a working understanding of finance, procurement and human resources. The Data Scientist will collaborate with other data scientists, business SMEs, and Technology professionals to develop workflows and infrastructure to enable development of baselining and long range financial planning tools, business cases and value capture modeling, and connecting the gamut of cross functional and finance data for ongoing transformation. This role will interact with a wide range of cross-functional business partners at all levels to understand processes, analyze data, and articulate comprehensive value delivery (cost, speed, risk, quality, etc.)
