About The Position

This role involves rotating through each assigned casino department for two (2) months to participate in daily operations. The trainee will work all three shifts (Days, Swings & Graves) to learn all aspects of operations, complete assigned tasks, and assist with day-to-day operations. The position requires participation in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities, as well as working with front-line staff. The trainee will take detailed notes during meetings with management and senior staff, follow all company regulations and health and safety policies, and write monthly reports describing learnings and suggested improvements. Maintaining Title 31 compliance is also a key responsibility. The ideal candidate is willing to learn and has a passion for helping others. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be age 21 or older.
  • Must qualify for a Standing Rock tribal Key gaming License.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional position.
  • During that time must have experience in a Casino environment.
  • Familiarity with the operation of Personal Computer required, including competency in word processing (MS Word) application.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel).
  • Requires exemplary human relations skills.
  • Requires repetitive hand/finger motions, tolerance for sitting for long periods, bending, reaching, standing, walking, speaking, hearing and visual acuity in (or corrected to) the normal range.
  • Periodic lifting of up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Post secondary education in business office procedures preferred.
  • Exposure to a leadership position will be a plus.
