About The Position

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our local rental branch team. In this hands-on role, you’ll learn how to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, customer-focused, and interested in growing into a leadership role. With structured training and real-world experience, you’ll prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months.

Requirements

Must be at least 20 years old
Valid driver’s license required
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills
A self-motivated, adaptable approach with an interest in learning the business and growing into leadership
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
Professional appearance and reliable attendance

Nice To Haves

Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or other professional experience preferred

Responsibilities

Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.
