About The Position

The terminal manager ensures daily operation of rail/loadout terminal including supervision of hourly employees. Responsible for budgeting; permitting; working as member of plant management team to achieve operational goals and objectives; managing contracts and contractors; and community relations.

Requirements

3 – 5 years of management supervision experience required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Ability to work in an outdoor environment with frequent physical labor expectations

Responsibilities

Track cost and maintain costs at the terminal
Develop and maintain a safe and environmentally compliant operation with the assistance of the Safety and Environmental Representatives.
Develop and maintain operational methods to reduce costs and produce a consistent product for customers of the terminal.
Develop and maintain a good working QC lab.
Minimize overtime used, schedule vacations, etc.
Maintain the mobile equipment with assistance of mobile equipment maintenance personnel through coordination and scheduling.
Maintain unloading and conveying equipment. This includes pumps, chutes, silos, conveyor belts, etc.
Maintain purchasing of regular materials for the operation and work with Procurement to purchase routine materials.
Maintains operational compliance with zoning and related permits
Develop annual budget for the operation.
Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures and requirements
Meet or exceed company safety standards
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
