About The Position

OntarioMD has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Technology Projects to provide leadership and oversight to project management and technical delivery resources supporting OntarioMD’s digital health integration initiatives. The role is responsible for advancing technology projects in alignment with divisional and corporate priorities, while also supporting broader provincial digital health objectives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Delivery, as a key member of the technology team, this role will: Lead and oversee digital health integration initiatives/projects: Contribute technology and project management expertise to the strategies, roadmaps, and planning/prioritization of integration projects. Partner with external stakeholders to define and understand objectives and priorities of partnered technology initiatives (e.g., OLIS, HALO, contextual launch). As the OntarioMD lead, deliver on priority digital health innovation projects (e.g., PCIE / Patient Summary, OCRE / Ontario Clinical Report Exchange). Collaborate with key provincial stakeholders (e.g., Ontario Health, MOH) for clarity and continual improvement in Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) for integrated digital health products: In collaboration with the program areas, define, monitor, and manage activities to effectively design, build, deliver, operate and control integrated digital health technologies. Cultivate and mature service management, service improvement, and incident management practices and documentation for application across the provincial landscape. Ensure internal compliance with and execution of procedural commitments. Contribute management and integrated product expertise as a member of OntarioMD’s management team: Collaborate with partners to develop communications/FAQs, value proposition artefacts, reporting, website updates, etc. Liaise between OntarioMD lines of business, technically focused teams, and project resources for advancing priority technology projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ progressive experience in healthcare information technology / digital health, with emphasis on SDLC and/or ITSM
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ senior project management experience, ideally with varied experience across project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile)
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience building and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and/or partners in Ontario’s provincial health system or analogous environments, including service delivery and contract management
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience leading/managing resources in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, CISSP, HCISSP, ITIL, and/or CPHIMS-CA accreditations are an asset
  • Experience and/or familiarity with community-based healthcare IT solutions (e.g., EMRs) is an asset
