About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services is seeking a Manager, Technical Program Management, Infrastructure to support data center infrastructure expansion. This role involves leading Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and cross-functional teams to drive regional data center build projects from inception through design, implementation, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with extensive experience in tactical and strategic program management, including leading teams and managing highly technical initiatives. Experience in data center infrastructure deployments is a plus. The role requires managing both co-located and remote teams, facilitating technical discussions, troubleshooting issues, removing barriers, managing capital budgets, and accelerating project delivery. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management, and reporting, is essential. The position requires 25% travel to AWS Data Center Clusters.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in tactical project management
  • 3+ years leading 5+ person teams delivering highly technical initiatives, demonstrating strategic program management
  • Bachelor's Degree or additional technical experience
  • Comfortable managing both co-located and remote teams of Infrastructure TPM direct reports and matrixed project delivery teams
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project and MS SharePoint
  • 5+ years of project management (including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management) experience
  • 3+ years of team management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in managing data center infrastructure deployments
  • Candidates possessing a background in architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/hardware engineering, data center infrastructure/operations, and/or construction, who have transitioned to a program management discipline
  • Experience with SQL, AI tool development, and systems integration
  • Experience working in a network planning, network construction/implementation, or commercial implementation role at an ISP, telecoms operator, or Hyperscaler
