About The Position

This role is for a Manager, Technical Accounting, responsible for advising business units on complex technical accounting matters and transactions. The position involves supporting accounting research, financial modeling, contract reviews, and transaction analyses. The manager will prepare accounting memoranda, white papers, FAQs, policies, and procedures, and will research and support the implementation of new IFRS standards and accounting policies. Key responsibilities include reviewing complex transactions, collaborating with various departments, supporting financial statement reviews and audits, assisting with accounting training, defining and implementing future-state accounting processes, and supporting due diligence and other finance initiatives. The role requires managing multiple workstreams independently and meeting project deadlines, utilizing Microsoft Office, analytical tools, and AI-enabled technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting or industry.
  • Significant experience conducting technical accounting research and documenting conclusions.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Experience with accounting memos, white papers, policy documentation, and technical analyses.
  • Strong project management, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical accounting research and documentation experience.
  • Ability to interpret accounting standards and apply them to complex transactions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business and Finance teams.
  • Ability to explain technical accounting concepts to stakeholders with different levels of expertise.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and Agile project environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct IFRS experience.
  • Experience reviewing complex contracts and accounting arrangements.
  • Experience with revenue recognition, business combinations, leases, mergers and acquisitions, or film accounting.
  • Experience supporting global reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and emerging technologies used for accounting research and process improvement.

Responsibilities
