Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing technical accounting research, adoption of new accounting standards, SOX compliance, and various other financial reporting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with public accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and technical accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with SOX compliance.
  • Strong code of business ethics and personal integrity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize projects.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain discretion, tact and poise to work with confidential company information.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Independent judgement and decision making abilities.
  • Position is a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Ability to work in office at our Carnegie, PA headquarters required.
  • Flexibility for partial at-home work, to be arranged upon selection of successful candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
  • Coordinate the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards as relevant.
  • Write position papers on transactions and issues, as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audit processes.
  • Perform periodic tests for impairment (ASC 350 & 360)
  • Perform account reconciliations and review journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure timely filing of all financial reports.
  • Review US GAAP adjustments at foreign affiliates to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Lead and assist in various technical accounting improvement projects as appropriate.
