About The Position

The Tax Manager will lead key components of the company’s global tax function, with primary responsibility for the global tax provision and U.S. international tax compliance. This role blends technical depth with strategic impact, supporting research, special projects, M&A activity, audit defense, and process improvements across the tax lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑growing environment and can collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred.
  • 4–8+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in a mix of public accounting and corporate tax.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, U.S. international tax, and multi‑jurisdictional compliance.
  • Experience with tax technology tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Vertex, tax return compliance software, Copilot).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the quarterly and annual global income tax provision under ASC 740, including effective tax rate analysis, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, and tax account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with global finance teams to gather data, validate results, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure the company complies with tax processes necessary for Sec. 404 compliance (SOX) and such compliance is timely evidenced with relevant supporting documentation.
  • Review and assist with provision to return reconciliations for both the US and foreign jurisdictions.
  • Prepare tax related financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 2023-09.
  • Prepare tax rate forecast models to support planning and reporting.
  • Prepare and review supporting documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Manage U.S. international filings, including NCTI, FDDEI, Subpart F, BEAT, PTEP, and foreign tax credit calculations.
  • Oversee preparation and review of Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, and related schedules.
  • Conduct technical tax research on domestic and international issues, documenting conclusions and advising leadership on risks and opportunities.
  • Interpret new tax laws, regulations, and guidance to support planning and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team on changes in method or policy to ensure they’re accounted for appropriately for tax purposes.
  • Support tax due diligence, structuring, modeling, and integration activities for M&A transactions.
  • Lead or contribute to cross‑functional initiatives involving tax technology, data automation, and process redesign.
  • Support federal, state, and foreign tax audits, including data gathering, issue analysis, and defense strategies.
  • Maintain organized audit files and ensure timely communication with auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline tax workflows, enhance controls, and improve data quality.
  • Implement technology‑enabled solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy across the tax function.
